From 1st April 2020, the radio spectrum in the 3.4 - 3.7 GHz band will be reallocated from fixed satellite services to mobile for provision of 5G services in Hong Kong. Satellite Master Antenna Television (SMATV) systems should only operate in the 3.7 - 4.2 GHz band thereafter.
Six Digital TV Programme Channels to Use New Transmitting Frequencies
Following the switching off of analogue television services, the existing digital terrestrial television frequency channels including(including RTHK TV 31-33, Jade 81, ViuTVsix 96 and ViuTV 99)will undergo channel migration. The vacated spectrum will be used to support Hong Kong's overall telecommunications services and smart city development.
To ensure the continued reception of these digital TV programme channels, our company offers services to aid contractors and owners of SMATV systems to upgrade their systems in order to avoid any possible service disturbance.
